YouTube has a variety of issues, but a prolific and growing problem is blatant content theft, for the sake of easy uploads and monetized views.
Smaller channels are ill equipped to fight back against this, but with a specific example recently taking place (this time a small creator who is also a lawyer) it opens the door for caselaw and precedent to be set that helps protect the creativity and substantial effort of smaller creators on the platform.
