Sumerian Queen Whose Biology Doesn't Fit the History Books

In 1922, archaeologists opened a tomb at Ur and found a Sumerian queen buried with 74 attendants who had voluntarily poisoned themselves to accompany her. Her skull was physically anomalous, documented at excavation and then quietly filed away.

Her remains have been in a London museum for over a century. Her DNA has never been tested.
