In this episode, Neil deGrasse Tyson and co-host Chuck Nice explore whether the universe has an overall structure like a “pancake” shape and clarify that galaxy motions are largely random unless they are part of clusters governed by gravitational dynamics and the virial theorem.

The discussion then shifts to gravity as spacetime curvature, the hypothetical graviton particle, and whether gravity is truly a force or something fundamentally different.

Finally, Neil proposes building a massive multi-spectrum telescope array on the far side of the Moon to observe the universe without Earth’s interference, including next-generation detection of gravitational waves and neutrinos
