Trump Says he's Raising New Global Tariff Rate to 15%

U.S. President Donald Trump said on social media he is raising the global tariff from 10 per cent to 15 per cent, though these temporary tariffs can only be imposed for 150 days unless Congress approves an extension.

The move follows an executive order he signed Friday imposing a 10 per cent tariff on imports from all countries after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down tariffs he introduced last year.
