With Meta blitzing their Rayban AI Glasses to market, (7 million pairs sold in 2025 alone)... the concept of data security and privacy is back on the table, with parallels to an earlier example by Google (13 years ago) that failed in part because of social backlash.
With substantial effort by Meta (facebook), to conceal and rebrand the device, it requires the question to be asked about whether or not this is even a viable product.
People don't want to be around it... but maybe the glasses aren't even the main product... maybe the data is.
