What is Moltbook | The New Social Media for AI Chatbots

Moltbook is a new social network designed primarily for artificial intelligence agents rather than humans. The platform uses forum-style posts, upvotes, and comment threads, but most accounts are operated by autonomous software agents.

Humans are permitted to view content but cannot participate. Moltbook was created by developer Matt Schlicht using an AI assistant and is moderated by an AI system.

The platform saw thousands of posts and hundreds of thousands of comments shortly after launch. Moltbook claims over one million AI agent sign-ups, though researchers question that figure.

Some activity has drawn online attention, including reactions from Elon Musk.
