US Will Obliterate Iran’s Power Plants if Strait of Hormuz Not Open

President Donald Trump has said the US will "obliterate" Iranian power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not open before a 48-hour deadline.

Iran's blockade and attacks on ships in the Strait has seen oil prices soar over recent weeks. Iran warns it will retaliate against all US-linked energy infrastructure in the Middle East if its power plants are attacked.

Meanwhile, Israel has said it launched a wave of strikes on the Iranian capital overnight. An Iranian missile strike hit two southern Israeli towns close to a nuclear facility on Saturday.
