The Snowman (1982)

On Christmas Eve, a young boy builds a snowman that comes to life and takes him to the North Pole to meet Father Christmas.

The film adaptation won "Best Children's Film" at the 1982 BAFTA Awards and was nominated for "Best Animated Short Film" at the 1983 Academy Awards.


In 1984, it won the award for Best Film at the Tampere International Short Film Festival.
