The Making of Grand Theft Auto (1996)

Rory Cellan Jones visits the Dundee studios of DMA Design - fresh from the success of Lemmings, but before they became Rockstar Games - where artists, level designers, musicians and video game testers are hard at work developing an ambitious, and tonally very different follow-up: Grand Theft Auto.

The original, 2D Grand Theft Auto was released in 1997 on PlayStation and PC.
