The Lost Labyrinth of Egypt | Excavations Begin!

Besides the enigmatic pyramids of Giza, in the past two decades nothing has captured the imagination of ancient history enthusiasts quite as much as the Lost Labyrinth of Egypt, a structure apparently built to the south of Amenemhat III’s pyramid at Hawara.

This enormous complex of temples, administrative buildings, palaces and more was said by Herodotus to surpass the achievements of the pyramids, yet today we know very little about this ancient superstructure.

But geophysical scans have been conducted at the proposed location and next to the Hawara Pyramid, something is definitely hiding below the surface.

And finally, after years of waiting, experts are now on the ground, excavating the site with the aim of uncovering the lost labyrinth once and for all, and I’ll tell you all about it in this video!
