MacWorld San Francisco 1988, held January 15-17, was a major event that highlighted the Macintosh as a legitimate corporate computer, with John Sculley's keynote on "The Journey Continues".

The show featured advancements in color technology, the introduction of Adobe's Illustrator 88, and Apple subsidiary Claris showcasing its suite of applications like MacPaint 2.0.


It also featured new hardware, such as SuperMac's Spectrum•24 video card, and a public demonstration of Display PostScript.
