Pump Up The Volume | The History of House music (2001)

Documentary about history of house music, from its early days as NY disco to the massive European and International scene it has become, via the major people and clubs who pushed it forward.

In this documentary the origin of house music is being explained. It starts in Chicago in the "Warehouse" club. This later became the Genre called just "House" because people wanted to buy music which they heard in the Wearhous.

The character "Jack" which is often mentioned in house songs is also explained. Early 90s it got to England. Here the genre House splits in many different ways. Drum and Bass and Techno is mentioned. Also the rave scene is explained.
