Pippi Langstrumpf | Actors Then and Now

Pippi Longstocking is one of the most famous children's characters in the world. She was created by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren and first published in 1945.

Pippi is an extraordinary girl with red braids, freckles, and incredible strength. She lives all alone in Villa Villekulla, together with her horse and her monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Pippi is brave, independent, and always does what she wants, often breaking the rules of the adult world.

With her humor, imagination, and unconventional nature, she has delighted children and adults alike for decades. The Pippi stories stand for freedom, self-confidence, and the courage to be different.
