NVIDIA Just Bought Groq for $20 Billion!

This is a worrying trend in the Valley now. It hollows out the company, leaving it as a shell, with the employees who weren't among the first completely screwed on their options.

Then, if everyone remaining is "lucky", the shell gets bought (like Windsurf) but for pennies on the dollar, screwing over those employees and early investors (both large and small). VC firms in the Valley are warning that this will disincent folks for working for these companies if they feel like they will get screwed like this (and, yes, the VC gets screwed too, which we can all chuckle about, but is bad for those looking for early investment).
