How an Armored Truck Driver Stole $3.1M from a Casino and Vanished

True crime documentary about one of the most unbelievable casino heists in U.S. history. In 1993, 21-year-old Loomis driver Heather Tallchief stole $3.1 million from an armored truck in Las Vegas and completely vanished for 12 years without a single gunshot.

This film explores the full story armored truck robbery, FBI manhunt, disguises, psychological manipulation, hypnotic VHS tapes, escape across countries, false identities, motherhood, guilt, and a shocking voluntary surrender years later.

Heather’s descent begins in San Francisco, where she worked in an AIDS hospice, burnt out, and fell into addiction. There she met Roberto Solis, convicted murderer, ex-inmate who once killed a Loomis guard. He slowly manipulated her, used hypnosis tapes, and convinced her to apply for a job at Loomis. Within weeks, she was trusted with ATM runs worth millions.

Oct 1, 1993. Two guards walk into Circus Circus. Heather is meant to wait, instead she drives away with $3.1M, heads to a warehouse, transfers the cash, and escapes disguised as an elderly woman in a wheelchair with Solis pushing her like a doctor. A private flight later they disappear.

The FBI places Heather on the Most Wanted list. She builds a new life in Amsterdam under fake names, raises a son, and hides for 12 years until 2005, when she returns to the U.S., confesses, and receives 5 years in prison. Roberto and the money were never found.
