European leaders have warned US President Donald Trump that his plan to impose tariffs unless and until he has full control of Greenland would "undermine transatlantic relations".
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called it "completely wrong" and Denmark's prime minister declared "Europe won't be blackmailed".
Ambassadors from all 27 European Union countries are holding an emergency meeting in Brussels on Trump's tariff threat over Greenland, while French President Emmanuel Macron hinted that the EU could deploy its "anti-coercion" mechanism for the first time, to curb imports of goods and services.
