Boston Dynamics Upgraded Atlas and It’s Starting to Feel Human

Boston Dynamics just upgraded Atlas again and this time it feels disturbingly human.

The new GR2 hands give Atlas real tactile sensing, an opposable thumb, and full human-like dexterity. It can now grab, twist, and handle objects with precision that blurs the line between robot and person.

With cameras built into its palms and sensors under its fingertips, Atlas can actually feel what it touches. At the same time, Figure AI unveiled a humanoid that can wash dishes, fold laundry, and even charge itself, showing just how fast the humanoid race is accelerating.

Atlas, Figure03, Optimus...all huge leveling up this year indeed. It's been an exciting year!
