Artemis II Crew Extraction After Splashdown | What Happened Next?

Following a successful Artemis II splashdown, the crew is carefully transferred from the recovery boat via helicopter to the deck of the USS John P. Murtha.

One by one, the astronauts are lifted from the ocean recovery zone and flown safely to the ship, where they step out of the helicopter and are immediately received by medical teams.

Initial health checks begin right on deck, ensuring all four crew members are stable after their journey
