12,550-Year-Old Natufian Discovery Re-Writes History

There’s a 12,000-year-old Natufian village in the Levant called Nahal Ein Gev II, located around 2 km east of the Sea of Galilee on the southern slopes of the Golan Heights.

It’s one of the most incredible Natufian sites ever discovered, with a village, a complex cemetery, stone buildings and unique facilities.

And this is a Younger Dryas site, a settlement, pre-dating Gobekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe in South Eastern Turkey, with calibrated carbon-14 dates ranging from 12,550 to 12,000 years ago.

This is a very important site in the history of humanity, because not only do we see clear pre-cursor art, architecture, customs, practices and tools compared to what we see at the later Pre-Pottery Neolithic sites, but a discovery was made in 2024 that re-wrote the history books.
